1. Strictly necessary
Session and refresh cookies keep you signed in. They are HttpOnly and cannot be read by scripts.
A security cookie protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
Local storage holds your theme choice, your chosen login portal, and — critically — a copy of your answers during a test so nothing is lost if your connection drops.
These cannot be turned off. Without them the service does not work.
2. Analytics
We measure which pages are visited and where people abandon a signup, so we can fix what is confusing. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
You can decline these from the cookie banner, and change your mind at any time.
3. Marketing
Only set if you consent. Used to measure whether an advert led to a signup.
Declining has no effect on the service.
4. Managing cookies
Use the cookie settings link in the footer to change your choices at any time.
Your browser can also block or clear cookies, though blocking the strictly necessary ones will sign you out and disable test-taking.
